Bank scam alerts: It's The Bank of East Asia, again.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority has, within the past half hour, issued a warning that scammers are posing as The Bank of East Asia. It's far from the first time.

he Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) wishes to alert members of the public to a press release issued by The Bank of East Asia, Limited relating to fraudulent website and instant message, which have been reported to the HKMA.

The fraudulent website is at hxxps://BEA-HK[.]com (adulterated to prevent clicking).

These events happen at least once a week, it seems. Last week it happened three times to Chong Hing Bank.
