World Money Laundering Report: Launch message Sunday, 31 October, 1999
WMLR is not just another newsletter. It is the basis of a community of professionals in money laundering prevention. Of course, we will have news. But in addition, we will have in depth interviews with significant figures who have an influence on the way you and your company do business. We will have analysis of legislation but we will look beyond the strict money laundering control regimes and examine other connected legislative provisions. We will examine compliance and training requirements and research and report on comparisons and conflicts between jurisdictions. Money laundering will be placed in context, not regarded as an isolated topic.
All subscribers, during the currency of their subscriptions,
will be granted access to the WMLR mailing list which allows free exchange of views and open discussion.
And we will strive to make the topic of detection and prevention of money laundering interesting and to provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions.
Our mission is to become an invaluable resource across the whole spectrum of those dedicated to the detection and prevention of money laundering, across the whole world. To this end we will have articles in languages other than English, so bridging the gap between those who traditionally set out to combat money laundering and those who have been disadvantaged by lack of material.
Thank you for joining us.
Nigel Morris-Cotterill, Editor.
Note: we did produce articles in Spanish but found interest was very low and therefore we ceased that and did not produce material in other languages.
